Mahindra & Mahindra has expanded its electric vehicle portfolio with the launch of the XUV 3XO EV, an all-electric version of its popular sub-4m compact SUV. Priced aggressively from Rs 13.89 lakh (ex-showroom), the model replaces the discontinued XUV400 and targets urban buyers seeking a practical, feature-rich EV for city commutes.
The XUV 3XO EV builds on the success of the ICE-powered XUV 3XO, which has sold nearly 1.8 lakh units since its April 2024 debut. It borrows the proven electric powertrain from the XUV400 while adopting the sharper, more modern design language of the 3XO.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO EV is available in six vibrant exterior colours: Stealth Black, Galaxy Grey, Everest White, Tango Red, Nebula Blue, and Deep Forest. These shades offer plenty of choice, from sleek monochromes to eye-catching pops of colour.
At the heart is a 39.4 kWh battery pack paired with a front-mounted electric motor delivering 147.5 hp and 310 Nm of torque. This setup enables a spirited 0-100 kmph sprint in just 8.3 seconds, making it one of the quickest in the compact EV segment. Mahindra claims a practical real-world driving range of up to 285 km on a single charge, ideal for daily urban use.
The battery supports fast charging, reaching 0-80% in about 50 minutes with a 50 kW DC charger. Three drive modes—Fun, Fast, and Fearless—allow drivers to tailor performance, while advanced suspension (Frequency Dependent Damping and MTV-VAL) ensures a comfortable and stable ride. A tight 10.6-metre turning circle enhances manoeuvrability in city traffic.
The XUV 3XO EV is offered in two well-specced variants, with deliveries commencing on February 23, 2026. A 7.2 kW wall charger is available optionally for an extra Rs 50,000.
- AX5 — Rs 13.89 lakh (ex-showroom): The entry-level trim is generously equipped, featuring a single-pane sunroof, twin 10.25-inch screens (infotainment + digital cluster), Adrenox connected tech with Alexa, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, 16-inch diamond-cut alloys, dual-zone climate control, six airbags, ESP, rear-view camera, LED projector headlights, cruise control, and more.
- AX7L — Rs 14.96 lakh (ex-showroom): The top variant adds premium touches like a panoramic Skyroof, 17-inch alloys, leatherette upholstery, soft-touch dashboard trims, 7-speaker Harman Kardon audio with Dolby Atmos, Level 2 ADAS (adaptive cruise, lane keep assist, auto emergency braking), 360-degree camera with blind view monitor, LED fog lamps, and 65W USB-C fast charging.
The price difference of approximately Rs 1.07 lakh brings significant upgrades in luxury, safety, and tech.
The cabin mirrors the ICE XUV 3XO with a tech-forward layout, including dual high-definition screens and physical controls for ease of use. Copper accents add a premium EV touch.
Safety is comprehensive, with six airbags standard, along with ESP, TPMS, and advanced ADAS on the higher trim.
Positioned as a direct rival to the Tata Nexon EV, MG Windsor EV, and others in the compact electric SUV space, the XUV 3XO EV combines familiar styling, strong performance, and value-driven features. With Mahindra’s growing EV ecosystem and focus on real-world usability, this launch strengthens the brand’s push toward sustainable mobility in India. Bookings are open now—deliveries begin soon!
