Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has successfully wrapped up its ambitious ‘Test Driven By 100’ campaign on December 19, 2025, marking the end of one of India’s most extensive real-world electric vehicle (EV) road tests. Over 100 days, a single Hyundai CRETA Electric covered more than 15,000 kilometers across 10 states, 26 cities, and over 200 destinations, proving the vehicle’s robustness in diverse Indian conditions.
The campaign, which featured 100 creators from various parts of the country, kicked off at Hyundai’s manufacturing facility in Chennai and culminated in Srinagar. These creators took turns driving the CRETA Electric, capturing authentic experiences through digital content that highlighted India’s geographical and cultural diversity.
The vehicle endured a wide range of challenging conditions, including coastal humidity, extreme heat, dense urban traffic, hilly terrains, snowy stretches, and desert environments. This rigorous testing aimed to demonstrate the CRETA Electric’s technological capabilities, performance, reliability, and efficiency in real-world scenarios, addressing common concerns about EV readiness in India.
The initiative generated massive digital engagement, with reports indicating over 526 million views, 35 million likes, more than 21,000 comments, and 240,000 shares across platforms.

Launched earlier in 2025 at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, the Hyundai CRETA Electric represents a key step in HMIL’s electrification strategy, offering a practical and reliable option for Indian consumers transitioning to electric mobility. The ‘Test Driven By 100’ campaign not only validated the vehicle’s capabilities but also played a pivotal role in building consumer confidence in EVs amid India’s evolving charging infrastructure and diverse driving needs.
