Tesla Superchargers in India: All Locations, Charging Time, and Cost

Tesla has rapidly expanded its charging infrastructure in India following its market entry earlier in the year. The latest addition is the company’s third charging station, inaugurated on December 17, 2025, in Gurugram, Haryana. This brings the total network to three locations across India, equipped with 12 Superchargers (V4 DC fast chargers) and 10 Destination Chargers (AC chargers). These stations support Tesla’s flagship offering in India, the Model Y electric SUV, providing convenient and reliable charging for owners.

Tesla’s charging network emphasizes seamless integration with the Tesla app, which handles navigation, real-time stall availability, vehicle preconditioning, charging progress monitoring, notifications, and payments. The company claims an impressive 99.95% uptime across its global network, ensuring reliability.

Current Tesla Charging Locations in IndiaTesla currently operates three charging stations in major metropolitan areas:

  1. Gurugram (DLF One Horizon Centre)
    • Location: Surface parking area, DLF One Horizon Centre, Golf Course Road, Sector 43, Gurugram, Haryana.
    • Chargers: 4 V4 Superchargers + 3 Destination Chargers.
    • Opened: December 17, 2025.
    • This is Tesla’s newest facility, located near the all-in-one Tesla Centre in Gurugram.
  2. Delhi (Worldmark 3)
    • Location: Worldmark 3, Aerocity area, New Delhi.
    • Chargers: 4 V4 Superchargers + 3 Destination Chargers.
  3. Mumbai (One BKC)
    • Location: One Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai, Maharashtra.
    • Chargers: 4 V4 Superchargers + 4 Destination Chargers.
    • This was Tesla’s first Supercharger site in India, opened in August 2025.

These locations focus on high-traffic urban and business hubs in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai, with plans for further expansion mentioned in earlier announcements (e.g., additional sites in areas like Thane, Navi Mumbai, Noida, and Saket).Charging Time

Tesla’s V4 Superchargers deliver peak power of up to 250 kW, making them ideal for quick top-ups during travel.

  • Superchargers (DC Fast Charging):
A Tesla Model Y can add up to 267-275 km of range in just 15 minutes, depending on the variant (Long Range RWD achieves the higher end). This is sufficient for extended drives with minimal stops—charging from low to 80% is recommended for optimal speed.
  • Destination Chargers (AC Charging):
These provide up to 11 kW output, suitable for longer stays (e.g., at offices or malls). Full charging times vary but are significantly slower than Superchargers.

Factors like battery temperature, state of charge, and vehicle preconditioning (via the app) influence actual speeds.

Charging CostPricing is consistent across Tesla’s Indian stations:

  • Superchargers: ₹24 per kWh.
  • Destination Chargers: ₹14 per kWh (some earlier sites listed ₹11-14; current reports confirm ₹14).

For reference on a Model Y (battery capacity ~60-75 kWh depending on variant):

  • A full charge via Supercharger could cost around ₹1,800-2,000.
  • Destination Chargers offer a more economical option for overnight or extended parking.

Payments are handled seamlessly through the Tesla app, with no need for cards or separate accounts. Tesla’s growing network addresses key concerns for EV adoption in India, enabling worry-free long-distance travel for Model Y owners. Interactive workshops were held at the Gurugram site from December 17-21, 2025, to demonstrate the technology.
