Vida, the electric mobility arm of Hero MotoCorp, has introduced the Dirt.E K3, a groundbreaking electric dirt bike designed specifically for young riders aged 4 to 10 years. Launched in India on December 12, 2025, following its global debut at EICMA 2025, this innovative bike marks the beginning of Vida’s new Dirt.E off-road lineup. Priced at an introductory Rs 69,990 (ex-showroom) for the first 300 customers, the Dirt.E K3 combines fun, safety, and adaptability to introduce kids to the thrilling world of dirt biking in a sustainable way.
Revolutionary Customization: A Bike That Adapts as Kids GrowOne of the standout features of the Dirt.E K3 is its three-stage adjustable chassis, allowing parents to easily customize the bike to suit their child’s growth and skill level. Using just a single tool, the bike can be configured into Small, Medium, or Large settings, adjusting the wheelbase, handlebar height, and ride height.
- Small: Seat height of 454 mm – ideal for beginners aged 4-6.
- Medium: Seat height of 544 mm – for progressing riders.
- Large: Seat height up to 631 mm – for older kids up to 10 years.
Despite these adjustments, the bike maintains a lightweight profile at just 22 kg, making it easy for young riders to handle and for parents to manage. This “grow-with-you” design addresses a common issue with kids’ bikes – being outgrown quickly – ensuring longer usability and better value.
Performance and Safety Tailored for Young RidersPowered by a 500W peak (350W continuous) electric motor and a 360Wh removable lithium-ion battery, the Dirt.E K3 offers smooth, quiet performance with a top speed capped at around 25 km/h. The battery provides up to three hours of ride time (depending on terrain and mode) and fully charges in about three hours. It features three riding modes (Low/Beginner, Mid/Amateur, High/Pro) with progressive speed limits to build confidence safely:
- Low: ~8 km/h
- Mid: ~16 km/h
- High: ~25 km/h
Parents can further control the experience via a dedicated smartphone app, which allows setting speed limits, adjusting acceleration, locking modes, and viewing ride analytics.Safety is paramount, with features like:
- Magnetic lanyard kill switch (cuts power if the rider falls off)
- Chest pad on handlebar for impact protection
- Removable footpegs for easy walking
- Child-scaled brake lever
- Rear motor cover and impact-absorbing components
The bike has earned prestigious accolades, including the Red Dot Design Award 2025 and CES Innovation Award Honoree 2026.
