Ultraviolette X47: Electric Adventure Bike Deliveries Now Underway in India

Ultraviolette Automotive, the trailblazing Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler startup, has officially begun deliveries of its latest innovation: the X47 Crossover EV adventure bike. Launched just last month on September 23, the rugged electric motorcycle has already garnered over 3,000 bookings within the first 24 hours, signaling strong demand in India’s rapidly evolving EV market.

With deliveries kicking off today across the country, adventure enthusiasts and urban riders alike are gearing up for a thrilling crossover into sustainable, high-performance mobility. The buzz intensified this morning when Ultraviolette shared an exclusive behind-the-scenes video on Instagram, courtesy of CEO Narayan.

The reel captures the poignant moment as the first production units of the X47 roll off the assembly line at the company’s state-of-the-art facility in Bengaluru, marking the culmination of years of engineering excellence.

“Good Morning India! It’s time to crossover!” the post exclaims, setting an electrifying tone for what the brand dubs a “new era in motorcycling.”

Behind the Scenes: From Assembly to Adventure-Ready

In the short yet captivating video, the first final production unit emerges triumphantly from the production line, gleaming under the factory lights. The narrator – none other than CEO Narayan UV himself – conveys palpable excitement: “It is a big day for the brand as the deliveries of the X47 commence from today.” This isn’t just a rollout; it’s a rite of passage for a vehicle born from a vision sketched on a drawing board, now poised to conquer India’s diverse roads and trails. Ultraviolette pulls back the curtain on its rigorous quality assurance process, a spectacle reserved for few. “Every Ultraviolette X47 – and this behind-the-scenes part – is something not everyone gets to see,” Narayan notes, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to unflinching standards. Each bike, including the flagship F77 and now the X47, endures a battery of tests to ensure peak performance before reaching its owner.

The footage spotlights the X47 strapped to a dynamometer (Dyno) for exhaustive validation. Acceleration, braking, power output, torque delivery, electronic calibrations – all are pushed to the limits. “We test them to make sure they perform optimally,” the CEO explains, underscoring checks that guarantee seamless operation in real-world scenarios. Following the Dyno ordeal, the bike advances to the final inspection under a precision light tunnel, where every detail is scrutinized for perfection. Narayan wraps up with poetic reflection: “What started as a vision on a drawing board has now become a reality on the roads.” It’s a nod to Ultraviolette’s journey since 2016, founded by a trio of IIT Madras alumni – Narayan Subramaniam, Vishwanathan Mamidanna, and Niraj Rajopadhye – who have consistently redefined electric two-wheeling with tech-forward designs.
