Bihar Police has ordered 1100 units of the BlazeX electric motorcycles from Revolt Motors, one of the biggest institutional purchases in the sustainable public transport sector. The Zero Emission Vehicles will be used in law enforcement and police patrolling applications and will be delivered to Patna. This partnership is a major milestone for Revolt Motors, the wholly-owned subsidiary of RattanIndia Enterprises Limited, as the brand continues to increase visibility in its electric motorcycles through orders from large scale institutions. Revolt aim to deliver all vehicles by November 2026 (well before the contract end date in January 2027) showing their capacity to help institutions move to electric.

The BlazeX was chosen due to its useful features for patrolling. With a claimed range of 150km between charges and a quick charge using any standard 10A socket. Its easy to charge thanks to the swappable battery. There is also a storage compartment in the seat for the charger. The GPS feature allows for tracking within the vehicle. This will reduce costs of running the motorcycles compared to traditional petrol models. Anjali Rattan, Chairperson of RattanIndia Enterprises Limited said “This is a very important milestone for us. Institutional transport has different requirements to personal use and when you’re delivering on a large scale you can really put your products to the test. It opens up a whole new area for us to increase our electric bike offering in India.

” This partnership could really help to inspire other states police forces to look at electrifying their 2 Wheeler fleet. Revolt Motors have already built up a strong community of over 60,000 riders and have over 182 dealerships nationwide. This order from Bihar Police really helps to increase Revolts presence in the institutional market. Using electric motorcycles can provide many benefits for large scale vehicle users. Bihar Police are putting themselves forward as an example of adopting green transport by adding 1100 electric motorcycles to their patrolling fleet.
