TVS Motor Company has unveiled the production-spec version of its M1-S electric maxi scooter at EICMA 2026 in Milan. The M1-S, which was shown as a concept last year at EICMA, sits alongside the Orbiter and TVS X and shows the brand’s commitment to pushing into the European market with their flagship electric maxi scooter. The M1-S was developed in Singapore with traditional maxi scooter dimensions but with an optimised electric engine and low-slung battery. The production-ready version has a 4.2kWh NMC lithium ion battery.

The 5kW continuous and 12.5kW (approx 16.8hp) permanent magnet synchronous motor is mounted onto the chassis of the scooter. This gives a claimed top speed of 105km/h and accelerates from 0-50km/h in 3.7 seconds. TVS expect it to have a range of around 120km, based on the European WMTC cycle. It has a built-in 1.8kW charger which can charge the battery from 10 to 80% in 75 minutes via a standard domestic plug.

The M1-S has bold styling with a large front apron, sharp body sections and an extended seat. The LED lighting includes unique position lights, and it will come in Spectre Black for its European release. More colours will be available at a later date. There is 26L of storage underneath the seat, which will fit a full-face helmet. The scooter comes with a 7” TFT screen. It also has LTE connectivity built-in so you don’t need a phone to access smart functions. The scooter is 1970mm long, with a 1350mm wheelbase. It has an 800mm seat height and 170mm ground clearance. The kerb weight is around 150kg. The scooter has a steel tube frame with telescopic forks up front, and dual adjustable shocks at the rear. It has 14” wheels with dual channel ABS and cruise control.

By revealing the production version of the M1-S at EICMA 2026, TVS Motor are showing their clear desire to increase their presence in the electric scooter market in Europe. It targets riders who want a maxi scooter with the presence, storage and comfort but with the efficiency of an electric engine. Final pricing will be released closer to the European launch dates. The scooter will be available from the coming period.
