Ultraviolette has launched the Europe version of their Tesseract Maxi electric two-wheeler at EICMA 2026 in Milan. This expands their electric two-wheeler range and makes it suitable for a wider range of purposes, including shorter commute journeys, and longer journeys on the highway. The Tesseract Maxi joins the X-47 Venom and Shockwave on the world stage and sees Ultraviolette, based out of Bengaluru, bolster its European range. This shows the company is evolving and starting to move towards providing a wider range of electric two-wheelers, not just high-performance electric motorcycles. The Tesseract Maxi has a large 6kWh battery that powers a 15kW (20hp) motor. This makes it one of the highest performing electric maxi scooters from India and able to cope with mixed riding. It claims to be able to reach speeds of up to 125kmh, meaning it can keep up with petrol-powered 150cc-160cc maxi scooters on the highway. The acceleration is strong too, letting you feel confident to overtake and merge into traffic. However, it’s smooth and won’t cause any issues on city roads.
It can be charged up to 80% in less than an hour thanks to fast charging. The large battery has also been certified to travel long distances in India. On mixed terrain, this will mean you’ll have plenty of range to cover your usual commute and travel between cities. It features 14-inch wheels, making it stable and comfortable on rough terrain. There is also 32 litres of storage underneath the seat, meaning you’ll have plenty of space to store your items, including a full face helmet. This makes it ideal for anyone looking for an electric scooter.
The Europe version of the Tesseract Maxi has some great safety and rider aids. It features its Hypersense radar system and dash cam, alongside OmniseNSE mirrors with multi-colour LED lights. This means you’ll receive alerts for blindspots, lane changes, overtaking and collision risks. It has traction control and regenerative braking as standard. The radar and dash cam really take this scooter above the norm within this segment, offering a wide range of rider aids on offer. The 7-inch TFT screen gives you clear information about your ride. It’s simple to use whilst riding and will give you easy access to all the information you need. The safety features combine to show Ultraviolette really do focus on smart technology.
To help you on longer journeys Ultraviolette have included a range of touring kit. This includes a raised visor, knuckle guards, tail bag and pannier stays. This means you can customise your scooter to make it suitable for longer journeys. This shows they want this scooter to be versatile to help you on your weekend adventures.
By showcasing the Tesseract Maxi at EICMA with their newest motorcycles, Ultraviolette are showing they want to compete harder in the European electric two wheeler market. The Europe version of this scooter has more advanced tech and features, showing another move forward for the brand internationally. As the company moves forwards with their 100-volt platform and other models, the Tesseract Maxi shows they want to offer unique designs with strong performance and rider focussed tech.
