Ultraviolette Automotive, a Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer, is set to expand its product portfolio significantly around the newly unveiled VX100 platform. The company intends to release four different models based on this architecture by 2027, venturing beyond its established premium motorcycle segment into the arena of electric scooters and more accessible motorcycle classes.
At the core of this plan lies the VX100 100V architecture which offers a number of performance improvements over its predecessor including up to 25 percent higher battery energy density, twice the cooling capacity, faster charging rates and reduced weight, which in turn should improve overall range, thermal performance, and ease of use for the new models.
The newly revealed architecture made its debut on the X-47 Venom, launched recently at an introductory price of Rs 2.65 lakh. The Venom showcases the power of the new platform, and sets the stage for the electric two-wheelers that will soon follow in its wake. In the first quarter of 2027, Ultraviolette plans to unveil two more products: the Tesseract electric scooter and the Shockwave motorcycle. Concurrently, the company is also in the process of updating its existing F77 sports motorcycle, so that this flagship model too can reap the benefits of the VX100 platform. With these four products, Ultraviolette will be able to significantly bolster its presence in the Indian electric two-wheeler market and appeal to a much wider customer base.
By leveraging the performance improvements of the VX100 platform across multiple models, the company is poised to build on its growth trajectory while continuing to uphold the quality and innovation of its previous products. More details regarding final specifications, pricing and launch timing for the remaining products are expected to emerge as the company prepares for its 2027 launch window.
