Mahindra’s Charge_iN network has set a new benchmark after registering the 50th ultra-fast charging station. The newly launched station is the company’s first-ever venture in association with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited under the HP eCharge brand, which was launched on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. The new fast charging station is located at the HP Auto Care Centre in Sajgaon on the Pune side of the Expressway.
The tie-up between Mahindra and HPCL was announced back in March 2026, and the key objective was to establish Electric Vehicle Charging Stations across the country at the retail outlets of HPCL. The latest addition to the popular Charge_iN network is a part of the company’s robust initiatives to build infrastructure for promoting electric mobility in the country.
The recently launched charging station has ultra-rapid chargers that are high-powered, 180 kW, and have two ports. These chargers can fill 20 percent to 80 percent of the battery in just 20 minutes, allowing EV owners to resume their journey with minimal inconvenience. Mahindra’s Charge_iN network has 50 live stations and over 200 charging points across the country. The company has been investing heavily in the development of this network to ensure coverage along major highway corridors and offer a reliable and hassle-free experience to the electric vehicle owners. In addition, the charging stations are strategically located near various commercial hubs like restaurants and cafes.
Mahindra aims to scale up the Charge_iN network to 250 stations and one thousand charging points by December 2027. With this latest addition, the company has taken a significant step toward creating a strong public charging ecosystem across the country. In addition, the company partnered with HPCL, a leading oil marketing company, to leverage its vast retail fuel station network. As a result, the combined effort of the two entities is expected to meet the demand for reliable and high-speed charging solutions in the near future.
