BGauss Auto has emerged as one of the fastest-growing electric two-wheeler start-ups in India after registering over 10,000 e-scooter sales in July-August 2026. With the combined retail volume crossing 91,000 units and surpassing the entire 2025’s sales by mid-September, the Mumbai-based company is set to leverage its latest launch of the flagship C12 MaxR electric scooter to tap into the growing demand for practical and well-equipped electric vehicles.

Both BGauss’s organic sales growth and the recent product launch suggest that the company is well-positioned to benefit from the rising popularity of practical electric scooters in India. The recent sales boom demonstrates consumer confidence in BGauss’s e-scooters, including the RUV 350, C12 Max and Uwah models. According to Vahan data, the company registered 5,560 vehicle sales in July and 5,045 units in August 2026. With the retail volumes crossing 32,000 units for the year, BGauss Auto appears to be on course to record its highest-ever annual sales in 2026 and close the gap with the established players offering electric two-wheelers.

Against the backdrop of a rising sales trend, BGauss Auto launched the C12 MaxR electric scooter on September 10 as its new flagship model, which offers an extended range, impressive performance, and an array of modern convenience features. Priced at approximately ₹1.46 lakh (ex-showroom), the C12 MaxR electric scooter boasts a 3.8 kWh LFP battery, which promises to deliver an IDC-certified range of 178 km. The vehicle is equipped with a HyperZen in-wheel motor capable of generating 4.2 kW of power, enabling the scooter to attain a speed of over 75 km/h. Additionally, it offers three driving modes, reverse, and a cruise control function. The C12 MaxR scooter also provides an impressive set of features, including 38-litre under-seat storage space for two helmets, a five-inch TFT dashboard, connected features, wireless charging, and a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 150 kg.

BGauss Auto appears to have timed the launch of the C12 MaxR almost perfectly as the company taps into the burgeoning demand for high-performance electric scooters in India. By targeting the premium end of the market, the C12 MaxR’s combination of features and performance characteristics directly compete with Ather’s, Bajaj’s, TVS’s, and other prominent domestic competitors’ flagship models. Furthermore, with an extensive dealer network of over 200 dealerships, BGauss Auto is now well-prepared to scale its sales significantly in the near term. In particular, the dealer network expansion will enable the company to provide high-quality service and maintenance to its growing customer base, which will be critical in fostering brand loyalty in India’s highly competitive electric vehicle market.

Overall, BGauss Auto’s ability to record over 10,000 e-scooter sales in July-August 2026 in combination with the launch of a well-equipped flagship model suggests that the company is on course to grow its market share in India’s competitive electric two-wheeler market. In the coming months, investors will be watching BGauss Auto’s performance in the premium electric scooter category to see if it can replicate its success in 2026 and establish itself as one of the dominant electric vehicle manufacturers in India.
