It is evident that the car understands the situation and knows when to move forward and when to wait, as well as how much space it needs to safely avoid any collision.
The viewer of the video pointed out how realistic and smooth the driverless car handled the traffic-jam like situation, exclaiming that it was “real-world AI.” The clip showcases the capabilities of Tesla’s vision-based Full Self Driving software and the progress that it makes on the road, away from “highway or suburban driving.
” Narrow winding roads present a unique challenge due to their lack of space, poor visibility, and the need to either pull over or slow down to let the oncoming cars pass.
