Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler startup Simple Energy has crossed 10,000 annual sales for the first time, driven by the performance of the Simple One plus the newly launched Wave family e-scooter.
According to Vahan data, the Bengaluru-based company registered 10,429 unit deliveries between January to August 2026. This represents a strong 203% YoY growth compared to 3,436 units in the same period of 2025. Cumulative sales since the company commenced deliveries in 2023 now stand at 18,556 units. The Simple One performance electric scooter has been driving the growth of the company and has helped it feature in the monthly top 10 electric two-wheeler OEM rankings consistently since February 2026. The company’s highest monthly retail sales so far were recorded in March 2026, when it delivered 1,780 units.
Furthermore, the recent launch of the Wave, Simple Energy’s most affordable scooter till date, and foraying into the high-volume family scooter segment has added to the growth. Priced from Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), Wave is a more practical, mass-market alternative to the sportier Simple One range (which also comprises the One S and Ultra). The Wave comes with multiple battery options and is expected to be a game-changer for the brand. Deliveries of the new model are slated to commence on September 25, 2026, which is also the festive season in India.
Simple Energy currently has a production capacity of around 3,000 units per month and has expanded its retail network to over 75 outlets across 63 cities, including Bengaluru, Delhi, Patna, Nagpur, Bhopal, Agra, Goa, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Chennai
