Simple Energy has launched the Simple Wave electric scooter in the Indian market at an introductory offer price of Rs 1.10 lakh, ex-showroom Bengaluru. The Wave is a practical family-oriented electric scooter that will appeal to buyers looking for something that offers everyday utility mixed with electric performance. The new scooter is available in six variants – the Wave S EBN 2.2 kWh, Wave S EBN 2.7 kWh, Wave S TFT 2.7 kWh, Wave EBN 3.7 kWh, Wave TFT 3.7 kWh and Wave+ 5 kWh. The first deliveries of the Wave e-scooter are expected to begin from September 25, 2026.
The new Simple Wave e-scooter is focused on practicality with features such as a chain-drive powertrain and large storage capacity of 70 litres (including a unique ‘Pill’ storage unit with an additional 4 litres of storage space) that makes it perfect for families or buyers who want something more than a regular e-scooter. The scooter is ideal for commuting as well as going on family adventures with its practical seating, flat floorboard and comfortable riding position.
The chain-drive not only helps with power delivery but also reduces maintenance making it a practical choice for most Indian buyers. The multiple variants of the Simple Wave e-scooter (ranging from 2.2 kWh to 5 kWh battery sizes) also allow buyers to choose based on their budget, with variants that offer an LCD display, or a larger TFT display.
With its everyday practicality, large storage and multiple variants, the Simple Wave e-scooter has been created with Indian buyers in mind. The introductory price (that will likely see an increase with time) and multiple variants, including different display options and battery sizes will appeal to a large buyer base looking for an e-scooter with everyday practicality. With deliveries due to begin later this month, the new Simple Wave e-scooter from Simple Energy will help the company capture a larger share of the family e-scooter segment in India.
