Mahindra joins the Unified Bharat eCharge Network to enable hassle-free EV charging .Mahindra has joined the Unified Bharat eCharge network that enables people to charge their EVs seamlessly. As part of the pilot, EV owners can use the Mahindra Charge_iN ultra-fast charging stations in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Delhi-NCR, Haryana, and Rajasthan through the EV Charging option on the BHIM app. This option allows the user to search for a Mahindra Charge_iN station on the BHIM app and start paying directly through UPI.
Unified Bharat eCharge, also known as BharatCharge, aims to be India’s digital public infrastructure for EV charging. The national EV charging platform is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Heavy Industries and other stakeholders. It will operate as a UPI for EV charging and enable drivers to charge their EVs at any charging station connected to the system. Just like UPI, BharatCharge will also offer a discover-find-pay experience to the users.
The Unified Bharat eCharge, a pilot project, was launched to solve the problem of multiple apps, QR codes, and wallets for different EV charging stations. It connects various charge point operators and makes their charging stations discoverable through a single application. BharatCharge will operate similarly to UPI, where a driver just needs to install the BharatCharge or BHIM app, locate the charging station and QR code, and pay for the service through their UPI. They will not have to deal with different mobile apps, QR codes, and wallets for different charging station operators.

The company has been manufacturing and deploying ultra-fast 180KW charging stations across the country at a rapid pace. These charging stations offer tremendous power and are a reliable power source for long-distance EV travel. By joining the Unified Bharat eCharge network, the company has made its charging infrastructure discoverable across the BharatCharge network.
